Launching MARA-Med Advocacy Academy

We are pleased to announce that we have officially opened applications for the Advocacy Academy 2026, a 9-month regional capacity-building program designed for activists, professionals, and community leaders across the Mediterranean.

The Advocacy Academy aims to strengthen knowledge and advocacy on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), with a special focus on abortion rights, bodily autonomy, and gender equality. The program combines thematic learning, regional analysis, and practical skills development.

Program Highlights:
•⁠  ⁠Six online sessions between February and July 2026
•⁠  ⁠Three main tracks: SRHR & feminist advocacy, Mediterranean SRHR context, and practical communication & digital security skills
•⁠  ⁠Local advocacy actions implemented by participants between September and November 2026
•⁠  ⁠Mentorship and technical support throughout the program
•⁠  ⁠Participants who complete the program will be eligible to serve as MARA-Med focal points in their countries

Program Duration: February – December 2026
Target Group: 25 participants from Mediterranean countries
Format: Hybrid (mainly online)
